Silvey. Sadly Silvey died in February 2021. He had a good life. He never let us rub him or cuddle him. But for all that, we knew he liked where he was safe.

Silvey is a beautiful silvery cat with champagne coloured stripes who came to us with his brother Skitty, pictured below, sharing a bed with him. Skitty unfortunately has passed away due to Luekemia. They were never apart having been rescued from a ghost estate in north Cork County in 2010. At first they were completely petrified when they came to us and so it was a long time before they relaxed. When they finally learnt that humans were not all bad they were tame and were just about to start looking for homes when Skitty passed away.

As of February 2014 Silvey is still living with Ellen as a permanent foster cat and he is way more settled now. He goes out to the sheds to steal the food from the ferals and then comes in to the kitchen to get his second feed.

Since Angry died About march 2015 Silvey will now venture into the kitchen, but still he doesn’t stay in for long.
